Connect Mora to Slack
Get a private alert when a check-in response, weekly briefing, or Role Check is ready. Each message links to Mora, where you sign in to read the details.
Connect your account
- Sign in to Mora and open Settings → Briefings & notifications → Slack.
- Choose Connect Slack. Check that Slack shows the workspace and identity you want to use.
- Approve the permissions and return to Mora. Settings shows the connected workspace.
If Slack asks for administrator approval, contact your workspace administrator. Every manager connects personally, even if the app is already installed. A Slack identity can connect to one Mora account. You do not need developer credentials.
Choose your alerts
Use Slack notifications to pause all Slack delivery. You can also choose Check-in responses, Weekly briefing, and Role Checks separately. Changes save automatically.
Weekly briefing alerts require the Weekly team briefing email preference to be enabled and Briefings not to be Off.
If an alert doesn’t arrive
- Check the master switch, the category switch, and your workspace’s app approval.
- For weekly alerts, check the email preference and Briefings setting too.
- Only new unread notifications created after connection are eligible. Connecting does not send old notifications.
- A notification read before its delivery job checks it will not be sent. An alert already being sent may still arrive.
- Delivery uses a minute queue. Allow a short delay; retries can take longer during outages.
If your connection stops working, disconnect and reconnect. For help, email hello@meetmora.io with the time and alert type you expected. Please leave out employee notes and check-in answers.
What Slack can access
Mora requests permission to open a direct conversation and send messages as Mora. It does not request Slack message history, files or directory access. Alerts contain a generic message and a Mora link. Names, check-in answers, meeting notes, and briefing text stay in Mora.
Delivered messages follow your Slack workspace’s retention and access policies. Sending messages to Mora is turned off; this integration does not answer chat messages.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect Slack in Mora Settings and confirm. Future delivery to you stops; messages already sent remain in Slack. Other managers’ connections remain in place. To remove Mora for the whole workspace, uninstall it using Slack’s app management.
To connect again after disconnecting, your Mora account needs pilot access and you must authorize Slack again.
Account and support
A Mora account is required. Slack alerts are included with the Mora service; see plans and trial terms. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms, or visit Support.
